I got into video games later than other kids, meaning while they were chatting about them and laughing I had no idea what was going on.
Then they stopped and moved onto partying/girls/drugs and was still playing TF2 several hours a day.
Then I got bored and wanted to move onto stuff, and found I had no friends and no one to be with.

the problem is that all new games are extremely shit, most devs now want to create movies with a bit of gameplay, also cut the game in pieces to sell it as dlc later on, all kinda of bullshit just to take your money, not to mention all AAA games only use graphics as their foundation, no one gives a fuck about good gameplay anymore.

My limited experience with reddit is that it's wildly unfunny and people tend to upvote shitty puns and dated, obnoxious comments. However, while it's trash for humor, if a subreddit is dedicated to a technical topic and not populated by retards there can be good information. If something is remotely controversial you shouldn't bother there because of the upvote system, though. Keep in mind I've spent probably less than an hour total on reddit, only going there when something is linked on 4chan or it's relevant to a google search.

I miss when getting a new game was an event.
Back when Nintendo was good.
It's not that big of a deal. After I stopped playing video games I channeled that same energy into music production/DJing. In a way it's like playing a video game you have complete control over and it's productive. Hell Ive even received enough attention from it that I've had the opportunity to play live shows, open for touring artists, and even a couple festivals.
