You may ask "what is 'Robot Anime'"?
Robot Anime is anime that gives you an intense feeling of hope and escapism. "Pixie girls" is what I'm looking for. Like "Garden State" but anime. Like "Her" but anime. Anime where we can pretend to be the main character and experience his life of falling in love and making friends. Slice of life and romance is welcome but have a male main character who is a loner.

Gunbuster and Diebuster both made me emotional and were hot blooded and uplifting like TTGL. Simon is basically genderswappwed Noriko.
Yuru Yuri made me feel genuinely happy. It's perfect for escapism. There's romance but it doesn't remind me that no one will ever care about me like that since it's yuri.
Is Amagami SS good for escapism?

The first season is better but meh Amagami SS is the after events of the MC getting the grill, every 4 episodes its different girl in season one.
It's not an anime, but Kindred Spirits is really fucking good if you like fluffy Yuri. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside while playing
