Holy crap. I totally wasted 24-28 (present). I have a BA, but I didnt do any internships or volunteer. Nothing but Mcjobs since 24, and now Im finally going back to school and it feels horrible. It felt sort of bad at 24 and thats why I didnt do it, but I wish I did.

My long-time girlfriend cheated on me and left me for another guy, I became a social recluse and as a bitter shut-in teenager I was naturally drawn to 4chan like a fly on shit. I actually recognized how much damage this place was doing to me after being a shut-in for 3 years and having my life consist of nothing but endless ~chan shit so I literally blocked my ability to access the website so it was out of my life and started over. Moved out, had a place of my own, had a girlfriend, once again was cheated on and once again was left for another guy, but kept pressing on and eventually found someone new who I honestly thought was my soulmate...and then she did the exact same thing. Cheated on me, dumped me for the guy she was cheating on me with. That was too much for me, and my life has been in an endless downward spiral ever since (April 8, 2014). This time I really have no idea how the fuck I'm ever going to get back on my feet. I've been utterly ruined by everything that's happened to me and I'm nowhere near strong enough to push through it anymore.

You never truly forget the robot feels of your youth, though, so it isn't difficult to relate to younger posters. I work with college kids so the culturual disconnect isn't something that's repulsively alien to me or anything. I'm not pop culture's target audience anymore and it's fine.

I've been browsing on and off since I was 18, the "off" periods when I was more normie, and the heavy "on" periods when I feel severely disconnected from relating to other people IRL and mainstream social reality.
My life isn't as bad as many posters, but I've had many dark times. The times when I was struggling with crippling depression and drug addiction the most are the times I'm on 4chan and /r9k/ the most.
My life could be about to get a whole lot worse, soon. I'm finishing up a liberal arts degree (and I only took 6 years and 4 different schools to do it). I only have this semester left to graduate. I slipped back into drug addiction, hard, so that's keeping me artificially happy for now. I can only guess how long that's going to last, but I can feel the facade of happiness cracking already. I just hope I can hold it together for 2 more months and graduate. Then I don't fucking know what I'm going to do. Probably wageslave it.

Same here. I'm 23 now. Back in 2010, when I started lurking 4chan as a teen, most of the things I read here were just jokes to me. I was a social outcast then just as now, but still those feels posts seemed distant to me. But as I became an adult, those posts started to become frighteningly real. My parents started to ask if I am gay, and they repeatedly made weird sideways comments about me not having a gf. I remember the first time they did it, I felt as if I were in a 4chan greentext, it was a haunting experience.
