I don't think there are many women who are lonely and unable to obtain a relationship/in need of self improvement to do so. I think the women you are describing are unable to obtain a relationship with the kind of guy they would like.
Say you have a 6'5 250lb woman, now there are a lot of guys who would date her but many might fetishisize her and others just might plain be unattractive to her.
