I've had low-tier jobs before. I worked through university, actually, in retail. See, even lowly retail is above fast food work (which is maybe a rung above migrant farm work), so obviously, I'm not going to drop a peg after already gaining experience in a superior line of work.

I feel nothing but pity when I go to a fast food place. You can just tell how miserable everyone is there. I worked food service when I was in high school briefly, and that was plenty to decide I'd never do it again. Fuck that. This might shock you, but you can refuse to work in a certain sector of the economy for any reason you want.
