I keep getting 4.89 as my answer.
b^2 - c^2 = -a^2
8^2-16^2 - -a^2
-24^2=-a^2
24^2=a^2
Squareroot 24 and you get 4.89
That's obviously not the correct answer since the side is longer than b which is 8

X = sqrt ( 256 - 64)

Since c and either a or b (pick you choice) is known, you can use the equation (I'm using 'a' as the unknown)
a = sqrt(c^2 - b^2)
Which turns out to 13.8564
The answer is 13.86
A2+b2=c2
A2=c2-b2
A2=265-64
A2=192
A=13.86

b^2 = c^2 - a^2 (take a^2 from both sides)
b^2 = 16^2-8^2
b^2 = 256 - 64
b^2 = 192
b = sqrt(192)

so that's
2.6 - 1.22

6.8^2 = 46.24
1.5^2 = 2.25
46.24 - 2.25 = 43.99
43.99 is what you take the square root of to get your result, which is 6.63.
