It's based off of a Danish fairy tale called "The Snow Queen".
It wasn't supposed to even get this big, it was a throwaway forgettable movie that was made to please investors since they promise to come out with a certain number of movies per year. It was supposed to be as big as "tangled" or "brave"
I work in a daycare so I've seen that movie like 40 times. It isn't about taxes or even empowering girls. It is a fun family singalong adventure about a girl trying to rescue her sister from becoming evil and using the power of love to conquer all. Same bullshit "love conquers all" message found in the beauty and the beast.
But with a retarded snowman in it that ruins everything.
