He obviously lacks the stability - whether social, financial, emotionally, psychologically, or otherwise, to gain substantial success that would warrant motivation. This is a huge negative self-reciprocating mentality of many robots / depressed people.
"Success" may be possible, but not realistic, or only obtainable through a decade or two of self sacrifice, which, to someone on this board (supposedly not a normie) would seem arduous, and not immediately obvious.
Which is why the advice here is poor. It comes from a callous perspective that anyone expressing the viewpoint of OP is just not trying hard enough / lazy, and they need to pull themselves up from their bootstraps or some shit. Which is normiedom at its peak.
