I really enjoy golfing and fishing
Thankfully I'm NEET masterrace so I have time to do both

>hobbies aside from 4chan
top kek. I work and I browse 4chan and that's my life.
>>28038936
Illegal arts and crafts.
>>28038936
Inline skating
Writing informal papers
Escapism (listening to music, etc).
School, work and weed.
I stopped coming here for the longest time, but now that I'm tryna find a new job, I had to stop smoking.
Tfw back to drinking and browsing
>>28038936
I've moved from hobby to hobby, everything bores me at this point and I don't have enough motivation to try new stuff. The only thing I can still do is listen to a shit ton of music everyday, if you can call that a hobby
>>28038936
>What are your hobbies aside from 4chan?
trying to answer this triggered me
Chemistry
Been working on making some aerogel. It's gonna be shitty because I can only work with subcritical conditions though
>>28039006
the hardest thing about inline skating is telling your parents you're gay
>>28039080
That's pretty neat
What exactly will this gel do or is it just making something for the fuck of it?
How do I get NEETbux? I can fake anything.
>>28039200

Rich parents provide my NEETlife

It's super good at insulating. It's made of the same material as glass, but is highly porous. You wouldn't recognize it as a traditional gel, though. It's a super light solid. I think they use it to insulate space shuttles. It's pretty cool stuff, actully. Usually requires exotic chemicals and high pressures, but I think I've found a way to synthesize the reagents at home, and I might be able to avoid the high pressures altogether
>>28039200
I suggest you check what the law says and fake according to that.
N-'s get welfare somehow. So no doubt you could too.
>>28039321
>N-'s
I play Dwarf Fortress.
>>28039272
Are the Japanese tanks as shitty in game as they were irl?
>>28039295
Could you patent the process perhaps?
>>28039295
Sounds like you stand to make some serious bucks if you're able to make it work
>>28039353
it depends on which you use
Programming (shaders atm https://www.shadertoy.com/view/4d3SzS got distracted from making chroma key shader and just made garbage)
Knitting.
Working out.

pls b my gf
>>28039360
I doubt it. I'm not good enough with chem to do any original research. I'm just piecing together what other people have done. I'm more just fascinated with the science behind it all. At the end, I should have a substance where I can hold a flame underneath and a match above and the match will not catch fire
>>28038936
i guess my job is somewhat a hobby, and im also very much into paintballing and soccer. used to golf, but working and my other hobbies were more enjoyable to me so that went out the door.
>>28039118
Ok, thanks for the heads up fattie.
>>28039477
Still very cool. I wish I had a productive hobby like that.

I'm a dude. Come on anon. Made this hat for mom. Got plenty of good boy points :3
>>28038936
I just picked up fishing. I haven't caught anything yet but it's such a comfy thing to do.
>>28039568
looks like a sea shell in the thumbnail
>>28039593
I don't see it. Hard when you know the full picture I guess.
>>28039540
>Productive
I spent a lot of money on labware and a few basic reagents. Ultimately I don't have any real use for what I make either. It's one of the only things I enjoy though. Also cultured some photobacteria once. That was fun. They glowed a light blueUntil I let their agar dry out
vidya, eating tendies, and earning GBP.
>>28039621
It was the spiral pattern on the top that made me think that. It's a bit stubby for a shell though.
>>28039626
Maybe not productive but still very cool. Maybe I should get into culturing bacteria like that, it was always fun at uni.
>>28039591
Yeah even when I don't catch anything I still enjoy just being at the lake
Boxing/riding my motorcycles. I also build dual sports and sell them for profit/convert bikes into supermotos.
>making shitty music
>sleeping to pass the time
literally it desu famz
>>28039705
Are you motorcycle girls dude with a trip?
>>28039682
Don't worry anon I thought it was a seashell too
>>28039682
Definitely try culturing some neat bacteria. So far I've only tried aliivibrio fischeri. I've been thinking of trying to get a hold of some pelomyxa and watching their rather complex life cycle. They're also cool because they're eukaryotes that lack mitochondria
>>28039777
OH BAYBEE A TRIPPUL
>>28039761
Nope. I usually post on /out/ putting riding meetups together or urban exploration. I've posted a few urbex threads on /r9k/ but with my trip off.
>>28039787
How did you go about it? Things need to be very sterile or you're going to get contamination. Also, what kind of media did you use? Were you able to make some kind of selective media or was it just agar+water?
If you want something really cool to look at you should try dark-field microscopy. I did it with a bit of pond water and it's really amazing - you could see protozoa just like this whizzing around and swallowing each other up. It was the coolest shit.
>>28038936
>collecting comicbooks
>lifting weights
>>28039904
I sprayed the shit out of my closet and set up a bit of a still air room there. From that point, it was just a matter of trying over and over until I was bound to succeed. I used an enzyme pill to partially digest milk, then mixed that with water and agar, but apart from that It wasn't selective.
>Tfw eventual 100% contamination
All good things must come to an end, anon
I'ma have to check out that dark field microscopy too
>>28038936
My man. Fishing's comfy as fuck, always a good time with or without people to go with.
What do you usually catch? You use bait or lures?
I got a fair few hobbies but I'm only average at them
>mma
>snowboarding
>miniature wargaming
>painting minitatures
>gunpla

All over North America. Usually in the northern states. I'm going to be riding through all 50 states this summer. I will be posting a thread next month for meet ups

Are you this guy?
Reading (a lot), book collecting, tea and teaware, board games, origami, quilting.
>>28038936
Drawing, reading, vidya or jogging.
>>28040157
What're you reading atm, anon?
>>28040134
kek, no. Pond water is the go-to for microscopy beginners though, there's always something interesting in pond water.
>>28040023
Nice, I'm going to have to give this a try I think.
>>28040062
I got for largemouth
Fish with lures, my favorite setup is a Texas rigged baby brush hog, works well almost everywhere
Biggest bass I ever caught was on a Mann's baby 1 minus, fucker was 7 pounds had a mouth so large it could swallow a volleyball
I cook and bake quite often, almost every day.
Gardening, wood working (mostly small utensils), animu/doujins, writing smut, hiking, and air soft. I also like going to goth bars. So if you're in LA and go to the three main goth bars here, you've probably seen me IRL.
>he lifts but doesn't do some form of martial arts as well
what's the point? just "lifting" or "working out" is a fucking shit hobby
>>28040403
I find lifting to be very cathartic
>>28038936
when i'm not being a total fucking loser, i'm at the nets nearby bowling for about 2-3 hours. cricket.
>other robots in muh non robot thread
I knew it
Drawing, cooking, reading, being a fat lazy piece of shit, hating my life, having no hobbies, dying
>>28038936
I don't have any hobbies or interests. I'm literally a blank slate and feel really empty inside most of the time. I even stopped watching anime. Feels bad.
Reading, writing, honey potting script kiddies, mountain biking, drinking/making fine coffee
Never really liked cooking much though.
