It's an okay anime. The protagonist isn't as helpless as you would expect from a "thrust into a reality warping game" series and the setting and characters are well realized. The battles and financial district aren't so good however. As of only 3 episodes in I'd give it a 6.5-7.5/10

I've played for years and still have yet to embark on a glacier, I've just never been tempted. Right now I've got a round vertical fort in a steep hillside, I'm carving away the hillside to turn it into a tower slowly.
I love pits, but more shallow ones so things don't quite die when they fall in. Just a pit with everything I don't like inside it killing each other.

Give the graphics packs a shot if you haven't. The Lazy Newb pack comes with them pre-installed, along with Therapist which is great job management UI and, as long as it isn't the recent unstable version, DFHack, which has some UI improvement as well.

I haven't used stonesense, I'm not sure if it's realtime or not. Once you understand how the game is three-dimensional, it's very easy to understand what's going on. It just takes a while of navigating using the UI to really get a good grip on the physical aspects of the game.

Oh my last time playing adventure mode i went with a basic spear fighting human. I was able to amass a dragon hunting squad and used them as meat shields to kill the beast with a stab to the head.
