I used to do Martial Arts, had them for sword kata. Also took Kendo for awhile so japanese sword/practice wooden swords.

I have a katana. I had it treated with a titanium formula, but the blade is spring steel that is extremely durable.
I can cut 4 Mountain Dew 2 liter bottles filled with water stacked side by side in half with one swing mid air with it.

It's nowhere near as efficient/practical as a real sword for sword fighting, but i guess you could still kill someone with it quite easily.
Yes, inspired by Skullagrim's videos and someone I know who is into swords, I own a katana, and a spear. The katana is a beast, and I would use that thing in a real fight. The spear is too short, and although it would be good in tight spaces, it's a little too short to be practical so it's hardly better than a knife. Although it can be thrown with a high degree of accuracy, much like a javelin.

Funny you ask about the cameras, our manager leaves at 4pm and after that we can take practically anything we want, yet no one watches us really, our location receives the most donations but has the smallest back room, there's customer theft and employee theft, it's fucked up here.

We're basically the same, as long as we're discrete and careful. We don't let ANY of the managers see it, but I'm pretty sure only one would actually bust us for it. lel, our price-tag printing machine broke back in august and we had to wait about 8 months to get a new one, they sent us to other stores to print tags and bring them back. When I went into another stores backroom for the first time no one was even working, I was so pissed. Goodwill is definitely insane.

All the tags we have have a fine layer of dust on them over 3.99 desu. All we get is a bunch of junk with very rarely something cool or awesome or whatever. One manager is an antique collector hobbyist so whenever she's working that day maybe half the shit I send out to the floor comes back for a higher tag. One in particular was an ugly glass bowl, I almost put three bucks and sent it but set it aside for her. Turned out to be fucking sixty dollars online, blew my fuckin mind. It's a wild job sometimes but I legitimately enjoy it, due in no small part to the other chill people.

That's what shocked me as well. Some garbage will come in, price it for pennies and it happens to be pure gold, stupid is all I think. Our store is in a wealthy area so we get some premium materials.
My experience would be solid 10/10 if it wasn't for the workload. Sundays are hell, but i've taken home record collections, oil paintings, and about 7 seabags full of clothing along with a myriad of other cool shit. I love to collect surplus too.
I work with an Army vet who's been in Iraq and Afghanistan, he's my favorite person. He regularly lurks and posts on /ck/, so we sperg and meme around everyone in the most autistic manner for cheap laughs. I'm gonna miss it once i'm gone.

Yes. It serves two purposes.
1. Decoration.
2. In case of home invasion I can crack the shitty plastic off the handle and use it as a weapon in a last ditch effort.
I also have several baseball bats littered around the house and a deer rifle under my mattress.
The person who decided to perform said theoretical home invasion around here would have to be suicidal though, I'm small time compared to some of the massive arsenals folks in my area(UP of Michigan) have.
