Amphetamines? Perhaps. I don't know, it depends on how you're wired. I once went to work (as a cleaner) really spun out and it didn't do me any favours, instead of focusing on one particular task and completing it all I'd do was run around half-finishing tasks then proceeding to start a new one, all while chain smoking in the process.

I think the simple answer to that question is because it stopped working for me, I suppose. I found myself more anxious being high (depending on the strain) and overall it just seemed like an unnecessary habit to continue to maintain, by the end of it.
I still look back on my experience(s) with weed quite fondly. They were some of the best, happiest, most carefree times I've ever had in my life.
