The Honors College Coordinator/English professor said she would be honored and she sounded like she meant it. The Economics and Public Policy professor said he would help me out but that I was too smart for the shit jobs I was applying for.
There's a History professor I want to ask but I barely know the guy. I've taken several of his classes, participated in every class discussion, gotten A's on every assignment, and he's asked me to submit my papers to some sort of History competition, but I've never actually talked to the guy outside of the classroom.

Even with myrobot tendencies, I've really liked college so far (I'm a freshman btw). Not only at Berkeley but at any college, its just a lot more independent, you are more free to do what you want... I dont know what your HS life was like but for me at least that makes college a huge improvement. Be prepared to work a lot harder than in high school if you want decent grades, and be prepared to self study a lot more... in high school you can pretty much get by just listening to the teachers, that's not gonna cut it here... but that is shit you've heard before
just this year, they retired the enrollment system called telebears which was a very simple, easy to use system, even if it looked a little outdated - you are gonna be initiated with a new shitty program built into CalCentral, its fucking shit, everyone hates it. There was no reason for this kind of consolidation, except for the administration to appear as if they are doing something.
Get used to that, the bureaucracy and administration at Berkeley is ridiculous, they frequently make bad decisions that make life harder for students, but that's not gonna change.

for EE/CS, theres a lot of clubs you can join which develop some pretty cool shit, there's the mobile developers club, now theres a machine learning society, there's something for bitcoin, a lot of cool shit like that
there's also professional society type things which are more for networking with alumni or people in the field you wanna go into, or academics or whatever

Welp, senior year is going pretty well. I got back from a 10 day trip that was pretty much life changing and on the day back from the airport, I went home and found out I was accepted into UC Berkeley. I like it a lot here so far. The campus is very nice, it has an unusual set up based on loops around the student union. It's a huge school, almost all of your general education and lower level courses will have a couple of hundred people in it. Location-wise, it's in East Orlando, so the opposite side of all the attractions. Disney and Universal is about 30 mins away
If your staying on campus I recommend Northview or the Knights towers, they're the newest dorms and they're pretty well priced for what you get.
Academic programs range from great to ok, UCF is known for Engineering and Hospitality

PSU? It's alright. If you're gonna live on campus, North is the place to be. It's one of the only dorms that's actually quiet, besides the honors college ones. East Halls and Pollock are shit.
Living off campus is nice. A lot of apartment complexes offer bus passes, and commuter parking is pretty cheap (about $100 for the full year). You'll probably end up having to walk places a lot though, especially if you wanna go downtown. Weekends are usually shit though, everyone gets retarded drunk and walks in front of cars because the average Penn State normie/chad who goes outside on weekends is dumb as fuck.
Academics are good. Engineering and business are both big here, Gen eds will always be bullshit, but there are plenty of easy ones that are mostly or totally online. If you want social interaction, you'll find people who have the same interests as you if you look for them.
Overall it was a pretty good time. I'd recommend it. Not sure about all the fields out there, but at least in mine, the Penn State name goes a long way as far as networking and job searching is concerned.

I went to NIU for my bachelor's; in some sense I miss it quite a lot. Dr Alwa was my teacher for Latin four years straight and taught me ancient Greek for two years as well, often just me and her in her office. Dr Clifton, the Chaucer teacher, has proven very helpful when it has come to writing letters of recommendation and giving me career guidance.
As well, NIU is such a typical college full to the brim with "normies" that in a way nothing will come to parallel it: you will become dejected at the sheer degeneracy of everyone, but then, in later years, come to miss being surrounded by so many of them. It is now rather lonely.
