What were some top tier shows you used to watch?
do you guys remember Chowder
>>
>>28008909
are you 6?
>>
>>28008909
I remember how the fucking texture on all the characters' clothing stayed in place on the screen while the characters moved.
>>
>>28008909
I never watched chowder.

Best shit I watched was Yugioh, Avatar, Dragon Ball Z, Johnny Quest, and Underdog.
>>
>>28008962
I always thought it was a really cool effect
>>
>>28008944
i know you are but what am I
originale
>>
>>28008986
It was... different. I wander if it was hard to pull off.

Layering. Instead of redrawing the pattern for each frame (it's clearly hand-drawn) a pattern is placed under.

>>
Ed, Edd n Eddy was the GOAT
>>
>>28008909
Yes, when I was 11 one summer's day I sat in my room all day watching a Chowder marathon while listening to dadrock to see if any of the songs would match up with what I was seeing. This was in 2008. they didnt tfw no more CN City from 2004-2006
>>
>>28008909
Man chowder was dank
Flapjack was pretty funny as ironic horror/melodrama but awful when it slipped into "lolz so randumb XD" tier shit. Would have liked a better foil to k'nuckles' abusive character
Camp Lazlo was comfy as fuck
>>
I used to like Angry Beavers. It was a pleasant colour scheme and norb and Dag's dam house was pretty dope.
>>
Who /catscratch/ here?
>>
Gotta get back
>>
>>28010947
Back to the past
>>
Chowder & Flapjack were the best cartoons of the mid-late '00s
>>
spongebob and fairly odd parents were awesome

>>28009840

I remember staying up late when i was 8 or 9 with a bowl of popcorn when they had 'nick at nite' and watching the angry beavers episode where they also stay up late into the far future. comfy as shit.
>>
so whats the start and end of millenials anyway

>Avatar
That shit was so dope. Probably one of my favorite cartoons ever
>>
>>28008909
I was shocked to look up that Chowder ended in 2010. I never watched it, but my friend did. We're 25 now. So that means you 18 year olds were 12 when it ended. Feels weird because it barely seems that any time has passed since it was even on for me.
>>
>>28011418

i heard Chowder got worse as time went on
>>
>>28011465
Maybe? I didn't watch it. I did see a few episodes of Flapjack and enjoyed them.

>>28008977
I used to watch Jonny Quest too

Anybody remember Reboot?
>>
>sitting on WinMX in 2003 grabbing poorly-encoded Sailor Moon episodes one by one
fun times
>>
>>28011614
Gargoyleys, what happened to that show i don't remember it ending
>>
>>28008909
Growing up I watched Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, Freakazoid, Hey Arnold, Pirates of Dark Water, Samurai Jack, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Sailor Moon, Johnny Quest, Even Stevens, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Batman Animated Series, and Gargoyles.
>>
>>28009840
I loved all the old sci-fi movies they would watch
>>
>>28010920
Heel yeah that was my favorite show as a kid. I named my geko after the one in the show.
>>
>>28011692
Mandy was my first waifu
>>

Honorable mention for Freakazoid

Shit, I started watchin' that show again, and that episode with candlejack was fucking aw--
>>
Are there any good cartoons still on the air? Didn't like what I saw of Steven Universe; are there still new Adventure Time and Regular Show episodes (and more importantly, are they still good)? Is Clarence worth watching?

Also, GOAT cartoon is Mission Hill
>>
>>28008909
Current GOAT

Adventure Time
Steven Universe
Over the Garden Wall

Old sKool GOAT

Rugrats
Rockos Modern Life
Ren and stumpy
Avatar Last Airbender
Spongebobu
>>
>>28012125

I've tried to watch recent episodes of Adventure Time. They're just not as good as the originals, or maybe my expectations are too high for the show. They're going off in a direction, and I don't know if I like it.

Rick and Morty, The Venture Bros, for more adult-oriented cartoons.

Gravity Falls was pretty good, though the series ended earlier this year.
>>
>>28012125
I love Steven Universe, it's a bit goofy but once you get into it it's great.

This is 100% true if you add gravity falls.

I tried to watch the first episode but the intro put me off immediately.

But it seems we have similar tastes, should I give it another try?
>>
time warp trio anyone
>>
>>28012370

Dude. It's pretty good. The intro is literally the worst part. Just skip it.

'96 kiddie reporting in. They don't have to be animated, do they? If not, I spent a fair amount of time watching Animal Planet for some reason. When I wasn't watching Cartoon Network you might have caught me watching Lost Tapes or Meerkat Manor.

It made me feel things.

ALL OF YOU ARE NOT MILLENNIALS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN:

>courage the cowardly dog
>ed edd n eddy
>Cow and Chicken
>Robot Jones

That is all.
>>
I'm disappointed no one's said Shaolin Showdown, Static Shock, Justice League, or the Jackie Chan Adventures yet. We never had cable so I could only watch things that aired after school or on Saturday mornings.
>>
>>28014513
Robot Jones was the most boring cartoon ever to be produced
>>
>>28014539
Shaolin showdown was good until the just kept layering on more autistic rule sets for all of the action. Jackie Chan Adventures was the shit though.
>>
>>28012238
>not as good as the originals
Derek Drymon left.

Speaking of adult cartoons though who /Korgoth/ here?
>>
Anyome else excited for the samurai jack reboot?
>>
>>28012211
Add Gumball, at least that's visually interesting instead of the CalArts shit we have now.
>>

>>
Does anyone remember Rave Master and Zatch Bell?
>>
>>28015087
My parents had money, but we never had cable because they watched mainly news (my very first memory of television, ever, was watching Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser with my dad when I was two) and they thought getting cable was a waste of money when there was an antenna on the roof that'd get it for free.

We had a big yard and went out to eat a lot though, so fair trade in my book.
>>
>>28014513
Why can I ever find a clip of robot jones that wasn't advertisement
>>
>>28014710

Crank Yankers
Celebrity death match
Beavis & butthead
drawn together were millennial shows though.

1999-2010 was a great era for Cartoon Network
>>
>>28014158
Pretty based, there were some lewds in that show if I remember correctly.
>>
>>28014513
>tfw on Fridays they aired the new episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog
>tfw that was usually date night for the adults
>tfw I used to go in my mom's room and watch the new episode while laying on her waterbed
Shit I even had a favorite pillow of hers that was extra comfy and I always lay down on my stomach to watch. I looked forward to the comfiness of it so much that I even had those small things planned out like tiny rituals so I could enjoy it as much as I could. I don't think I've ever looked forward to anything in my adult life as much as I did those Friday night cartoons.
>>
>>28015001
I was just reading through the Codename: Kids Next Door wiki like two days ago because I was curious how it ended.
