A lot of jobs require cars for one. You pretty much need one if you're going to have a family. It just makes it easier to get around, especially if you want to leave your city.
Not to mention it's just lot faster than public transportation. Biking is fine if the weather is good and the place is close enough. Also normies leave their houses way more often, so that extra traveling time seriously adds up.

We all knew someone at some point who was a single parent, went to school full time, and worked full time. Doesn't mean you want that, it's a miserable and completely exhausting lifestyle that just burns you out mentally and physically.
All I'm saying is that there's no reason to leave the house right after you graduate highschool, especially if you're going to post-secondary. I have friends who did that are in their late 20s and still have debt. When I graduated and moved out at 23 I had over 25k to my name from summer jobs and my internship and moved right into a comfy 2 bedroom apartment without a hint of debt.
