I have a job and its hell man. I come home and cry every night. I have to call homeowners who haven't paid their mortgages that their house is being foreclosed. I hear "fuck you" at least 50 times a day and get called every name in the book. I hav to get drunk just to sleep at night

Not them but technical writing can pay around $50-$100 for an article. I've written ones for Cracked and a few other places before and most of them weren't that great or that much effort but they don't care (Cracked did require a buttload of sources though). It's not full-time job kind of money, but doing two to four articles a week helps out a lot.

They give you a test and score you from 2-5. Most important thing is grammar. You give them a 250 word writing sample and they score you. Do everything you can to score a 4 so you have constant work.
