How exactly did it ruin your life? I don't listen to it anymore, but it became a gateway to ambient music for me so even though I dislike now, I can respect it some aspect.
I tried getting into the vaporwave community, but there doesn't seem to be one. I'm kinda dissapointed by that. I really feel it would be the ideal escapism for me. Nice music and aesthetic

Is there any kind of real life scene for this? I live near Seattle, so figured it would be here if anywhere.
I'm not interested in going to show that just features some vaporwave, I'm talking about a full-scale vaporwave lounge or something. Like, with pink-and-black tiled floors, roman busts wearing ray-bans on fluted columns draped with vines, Windows '95 wallpaper, the whole nine. Also, no talking.
