Should we colonize the sun?

Give reasons please, in science there are no right or wrong answer.
>>
>>27999717
Yes, we should build a normie colony on the sun and let superior robots rule this earth.
>>
Yes we should and extract all the oil on it
>>
But if we colonize the sun where will we get sunlight from
>>
I actually don't see a downside to that
>>
This thread made me think back to this one foreign arab kid in my chemistry class in high school who asked why we haven't been to the sun yet when we've been to the moon. Oh arabs.

We'll just have minimum wage workers scoop up the sunlight into jars and charge goiyms on Earth for access to sunlight
>>
>>28000334
No I mean if the earth gets its sunlight from the sun, then where does the sun get its sunlight from?

Sorry

It's called a dyson sphere, building one classifies you as a type II civilization.
>>
>>28001254
>>27999717
yeah, a dyson sphere should count as colonization though humans living there would not be possible due to intense heat.
>the amount of energy we can harvest will be fucking humongous
>can do a lot of shit with that energy, travel to nearby stars, experiments with planetary scale colliders or even colonise the rest of the solar system
yeah, we definitely should
>>
No. At least not yet, there are plenty of planets far more easy to colonize before going to a star. Your question is stupid, and you should feel bad.
>>
>>28002011
Also it could potentially hide us from alien lifeforms so we won't get our shit wrecked

>not wanting to take long relaxing walks on the sun

Fagot
>>
Absolutely. I think two billion people from select groups and areas should make for a good starting population.
>>
Yes but we'll have to do it at night, when the Sun is dark.
>>
>>28003185
This. Also during winter when the snow cools down some of the lava.
>>
>>27999717
you can create a solar powered array of computers orbiting close to the sun, and live in a virtual world in that computer system

its plausible, but you cant go directly on the sun with the types of life evolved on earth

Yeah we should send all normies to populate that place

This actually bothers me more than every reply in this thread.

not so sure

what if the sun gets attacked by 100.000.000.000 Lions again?
>>
>>28003769
he's correct

there is really no right or wrong, only competing evidence supported hypotheses
>>
>>28000334
You know, I actually wouldn't put it past the jews using giant solar panels to block out the sun and then charge people for the energy the get from it

He's right tho. Every current answer that's accepted by the majority waits to replaced by a different answer accepted by the majority regardless if it's right or wrong.
What matters is how we arrive at those answers. So suppose we figure out a way to send spaceships into the sun for vacations. This would be safe as long as we used the scientific method to create the planned expedition.
>>
>>28004074
>>28004653
No, look:
The goal of natural sciences is creating a model you can use to predict reality, a model that is accurate within reason.
If you cannot use your model to predict reality it is either a very inaccurate model or simply wrong.
>>
>>28002011
>>28002361
too bad there isn't enough building material in the solar system to build a Dyson sphere of appropriate thickness (2km). not to mention the impossibility of the construction itself with current technology.
>>
>>28005088
You wouldn't build an entire fucking sphere at first, a civilization would have to start out with smaller satellite solar power collectors, and work all the way up to maximum efficiency.
>>
>>28004752
until other evidence weighs that gives a different picture

you can never absolutely detrmine anything in science 100%, i.e. there is no right or wrong

you can find 99.99999999999999999999999999% evidential support for your hypothese, some hypotheses can be more or less wrong than others....but you can never absolutely determine right and wrong
