the literal only thing that makes me truly happy is massive awe-inpsiring cyberpunk-esque cityscapes. something about the limitless opportunities contained within one plus the exploration possibilities make me think such a city would be the ultimate form of adventure, and as such i am devoted to finding or creating that future. anyone else have similar thoughts?
bumping my thread with related images

I do love me some cyberpunk
This particular one looks like a Civ 5 wonder painting
another good one from ya boy
>>27998581
I'd be interested to see a cyberpunk/Art Deco blend, like a future Rapture (from Bioshock)
>>27998620
sounds interesting, underwater cyberpunk is always a cool concept
>>27998275
Nice pictures anon
I would love some cyber-green thing you know? Like cities filled with vertical gardens that contain bio luminiscent plants. Like organic neon.
The only thing that worries me is the excess of surveillance. Seems like the only option is to learn how to watch those who watch.

Not as cool as I envisioned, but it has potential.
Decopunk detective game set in an Art Deco'd out New York, no flying cars though.
>>27998701
Damn, I am feeling this though.
Sorry if I highjacked your nice thread OP, but this is a cool contrast to the gloomy/neon/rainy we got going on here
>>27998701
yeah im sick of all the flying cars shit i see in all media set in the future, realistically they are impractical and stupid when faced with things like the hyperloop and other real near-future transportation technology

any of you lads seen cloud atlas?
the neo-seoul scenes were top-tier
>>27998767
neuromancer is a classic, you might want to check it out, helped kickstart the genre
basically anything by william gibson to get started
>>27998807
concept art for cloud atlas right here
keep it page 1 lads
this is an actual picture of hong kong but its probably the closest the real world has to cyberpunk right now
>>27998767
Altered Carbon was good.
Neuromancer is a classic, but kind of hard to get through
Snow Crash was a fun ride, but not exactly 'cyberpunk'
cyberpunk is the best escapism because we might actually live to see something reminiscent of it in real life
anyone else think the future for cyberpunk type cities has been changed from japan to korea? based on the current economic situation id say seoul is the best place to go to get a taste of the future right now
dont let this thread die on me

but we didnt get the good mega-city aesthetics part yet
dont worry though, i think they are coming

goddamn it the way they talk about it i think you are right, fucking technocrats in a oppressive dictatorship merging cities for economic purposes
The only reason I'm not killing myself is because I'd miss all of the cool future shit
>>27998996
We got cyberpunk. Just not the cool parts of it.
This is the cyberpunk dream. This is how it manifests itself.
>>27999056
this tbqh
im not going to be that one faggot who kills himself the month before true virtual reality is invented and i can just embrace escapism
one last final bump before i let the thread rest in peace
>>27998275
>tfw a meritocratic dystopian cyberpunk environment where cunning and intelligence is valued over empty sensationalism and everyday life is a gritty power struggle between individual liberty and immediate overarching threat is the only setting i could imagine finding true love
>tfw present-day society is so boring that i don't care about people because they only do things out of convenience and self-reward
>tfw no cyberpunk qt to hack the planet and ride motorcycles with

Yep, Korea is the new Japan and still just in the process to become a great economic power.
The Republic of China is next, probably.
>ywn be a part of a biker gang in a rapidly decaying cyberpunk city
>ywn spend the day drinking and chasing tail, then the night riding your bikes, having high-speed wars with other gangs and the police.
>ywn shove a pipe into a rival's wheel spoke and watch him catapult to his death, your gang cheering your first kill as his head smashes into hundreds of bloody pieces.
>ywn drown out the engines with synthwave, while bathed in neon and swinging a baseball bat at the enemy gang members trying to get a hit on you.
I just wanna go on sick Mad Max style death races through a cyberpunk city.
is that cyberpunk 2077 game ever going to come out?
>>27998275
The future will look nothing like that, so don't get your hopes up

Not only that, but also how beautiful the caustics must look from inside. Do it.
