No anon, I'm just terribly bored and need a social hobby/talking point for making friends and connecting with likeminded people. I mostly want to travel around to places I've never been in my spare time. One of my longest time friends who is a good rider and myself plan to go on a trip if I ever go through with it.
I'm afraid something is going to happen to me because recently there was an ex cop around here who was biking around and lost his leg to a goose going about 40mph. Don't do it just because you are out of boredom or just want some social hobby, you have lots of other paths to choose from. When it comes to motorcycles the people I've met and seen are people like myself that have grown up to love and admire them.
In your instances, if you do ride and still have the thought of dying / crashing, it will be a horrible ride for you. Well it seems you made your mind up mate, though keep in mind these courses are nothing more but you going around a small closed area / around cones and practicing your slow speed maneuvers. At least that's how it is in Australia, you have to learn everything else on your own. Lot different, and a lot more pressure when driving in traffic, especially when you hit peak hour.
Otherwise riding is easy, even a dumb cunt could do it. The hardest aspect of riding would be riding at very slow speeds.
Everything else is learned quick and easy such as head movement, counter-steering etc..
