The fight scenes were good, but the show itself was trash. It was all of the bad parts about the Fate franchise, combined with Urobutcher fuckery, and it totally destroyed the fanbase.
But I enjoyed DEEN F/SN, even after reading the VN, so what do I know?

Most good anime= anime movies. Some beautiful shit out there thanks to amazing studios and fantastic directors.
When it comes to shows, nothing has ever come close to Evangelion to me. That show really resonated with me in an insane way. Made me cry a few times, actually.

Lol what? It was an accurate adaptation of the original light novels, which were much better than the VN. Also DEEN FSN is literally the worst thing to come out of the the entire TM franchise

Bebop is legitimately fun to watch, I can say it isn't just a meme.
If you really want to get into crazy existential shows like EVA I'd recommend Yoshitoshi ABe's stuff, specifically Serial Experiments Lain and Texhnolyze.
