I'll tell you why I do that. It's because socializing to me is a huge chore and it get nervous I wont have anything interesting to say so I just get rid of the person.

If you're not a girl, no one is going to talk to you for long, unless you guys really really hit it off. I've talked to tons of people on Skype, most of the time you guys will just naturally stop talking after a few days. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong, there just isn't much investment for most people to continue talking to you, espescially once you have dozens of other people you're talking to.
You could join a Skype group, those are a bit better, but usually they devolve into a giant circlejerk where everyone worships the popular names and form in in crowd while ignoring everyone else, or it'll just be a girl or a few girls and tons of people orbiting them. This is the most common and also the most infuriating. You'll say something and no one will reply, but the moment a girl sends 1 message, the chat bursts into life and tons of guys start replying. They never will discuss anything of substance, it'll just slowly devolve into a bunch of virtual bragging and "ironic" orbiting, then they'll start posting pictures of themselves...
Honestly, online friendships are hard to find, espescially if you're adding people from this shithole website
