I'm in kind of the same predicament. I'm somewhat attractive at least in the sense that people seem to want to associate with me, but I can only maintain the facade of sociability for short periods of time.

How big you were, how long you've been overweight, how fast you gained it and genetics are what you need to look at. Thanks, anon! I also count calories and I purchased an inexpensive digital kitchen scale to properly weigh foods. My diet mostly consists of vegetables like broccoli, green beans, kale and carrots as well as meats like chicken, fish and pork loin cutting out most sugar besides a bit of fruit.
I make sure to exercise a lot as well. Bodyweight exercises, walking and lifting weights is also great for your upper arms if you're worried about flabby skin there. And like the guy I'm talking to also said, you want to make sure you get a lot of water every day to help your skin be as hydrated and healthy as it can be.

I have this lingering fear that something bad will happen to my boyfriend, killing him or paralyzing him.
