The group is protesting the university's investment in the fossil fuel industry.
They are calling for the university to immediately freeze new investments in the top 200 coal, oil and gas companies and then phase out investments in fossil fuels over the next five years.
The students stood on the roof for 10 minutes, before security asked them to leave.
Protester Aoife Nicklason, 21, said she hoped the university would finally heed the message, after previous formal talks and forums failed to convince administrators otherwise.
"We're trying to be really brave and hopefully the university will also be brave," she said.

I won't claim to be a saint or a master of persuasion, but this is what baffles me about all politics. Right or left. If you want to persuade somebody, appeal to their humanity and their dignity.
