Good luck anon, make sure you dress well, have a strong handshake, keep eye contact and dress well again, check even the back of your shoes, ask any questions to seem interested, exercise a small smile in the mirror so you don't seem dead inside, but this exposure may be what we need to make it. Great art saved
>>27984536
I used to have a shity CV anon, but with the help from a job center I managed to do some better modifications, have name, email in a header at the top, always start with what you are currently doing, I had the fact that I study so this gives them the idea that I will be around for a while, I also had some bullshit voluntary work from high school that was basically moving some chairs, giving some food, cleaning the school yard and shit.
Put the start and end date of everything you did in the past, and even if you don't have maybe make up some voluntary work in school, and at each make one or two bullet points on the stuff that they are most likely looking for such as "Displayed great communication skills by working on a team to ensure that x shit was ran properly" or "Listened to the customer/person in need and understood his situation".
You then must have qualifications and skills, highschool diploma, whatever other certificates you might have such as completing, put in any languages that you can speak, and end with a bit on leisure interests, and have a line that says "References on request" at the end. Try to have it all only on one A4 page.
Thing is make sure you have, words such as team work, communication, and so on, social stuff.
It helps if the site where you apply has you do some questions, complete some stuff online, as it takes a while, but if you go through it it shows you are interested and not a lazy fuck.
Calling in yourself might be the best option, I might try it for an internship myself.

>night shift stocking at walmart in a small town
It's going to be alright, right? I won't have to worry about seeing too many people at night beyond maybe thanksgiving to christmas?

Can't be much worse than a call center, I've never wanted to actually kill myself as much as when I worked there.
>>
>>27984876
>>27984468

I worked there and it was all right.

My friend worked one of the best shifts, 6 to midnight, but I worked one of the worst shifts which was midnight to 6AM.

5 nights out of the week it was mostly dead except for the odd university student studying there and truckers passing through. Friday & Saturday had a rush of teenagers and drunk people shortly after 3AM when all the local bars closed and then during the week there was a steady flow of people coming in around quarter to five.

As I was leaving my shift at 6-ish, there would be a lineup of people to the door as the other workers struggled to keep up.

like what the fuck do I do, do I just leave them out of my CV entirely? Aren't future employers going to call them up and they'll be like "NO ANON IS NO GOOD WE FIRE HIM DO NOT HIRE HIM"

Can I bullshit my reason for being fired was that they were "restructuring"? It's half true after they did fire most of the staff after the first month & cut hours and I managed to last a little while longer.

and at least my old manager was never part of that nonsense since she was also technically fired by the owners. maybe I can use her as a reference.

What do you say? You are optimistic that your life will be better and you can take chances to build up on your job to a career, finally being rich at 54?

Well do that, i sit here and educate myself more than im already am.
At the age of 54 i will have managed to attain enlightenmend. Meanwhile you will be an alcohol addict with 3 divorces behind you, 3 wives and 2 kids that don't live with you, they took all the dogs too.

I think so too. It's not even the money i know it's chump change and i plan to save it all as much as possible it's mostly just about getting out into the world again.

Act stands for acceptance and commitment therapy which is a response to CBT so it kind of is like it. It thinks that accepting your moods like fear, anxiety and depression can help overcome them whereas CBT is all about changing thought patterns. I think both are okay but i have an act book i got from a therapist a while back so i'm using it. Gives me hope

>you might be able to get a management position for a better salary too

hmm, I don't know about that. I have years of experience, but it's years of always doing the same thing. I did actually sort of train the new staff there and I was often offered the chance to be a sort of sub-manager but the thought of it makes my stomach turn 2bh and I turned it down. The last thing I'd want is to have to manage a bunch of 17 year old stoner kids who were made to get a job for the summer by their rich parents and call in "sick" every weekend.

I'm more than okay with working minimum wage for minimal responsibility since I have minimal expenses right now. Plus if it was me interviewing myself for a managerial postion, I would not hire myself.

>if they really go deep just make up some stuff like you saved some money and wanted to travel and live on the road and after 2 years and many journeys you are back home

oh yeah, I actually did do that once so it shouldn't be too hard to lie about that.

Greetings Wagecucks. Mid-week stress wearing you down?

While you slave away for the boss man i indulge myself in the finest theorys of all mankind.

And while you go home to watch cuck liberal TV Shows as a follow-up to your brain dead jobs, I have all the time in the world to enrich myself with knowledge that puzzled the greatest minds of the 20th century.

But dont worry normies. I'm sure you can enrich yourself on the weekends. That is if you do not have a hangover from the Friday night drinking you partake in to ease the misery of your pathetic lives.

But we both know that you don't actually enrich yourself, your just make desperate frogposts in a board dedicated to memes and stories about POOPOO PEEPEE :^)

During my interview for my current job the interviewers asked me a question phrased like this: What would you do if friends and/or family members came to visit you while at work? My response was: I chuckled and said that's simply not possible...that would never happen. But, if hypothetically that were to happen I would inform my friends and/or family that I would speak to them during lunch / break. I got the job.

I'm leaving for an job interview in few hours. Hope I will get the job and save up some money so I can move out from my parents. Too bad it will mean searching for new job all over again.

Enjoy it anon. After the first couple weeks are done you're going to hate everything about it getting up every morning and going to that shitty place.
