In 2011 I agreed to go to a party that was being hosted by a good friend of mine while his mother was gone on a business trip. Being that we were good friends, I arrived early to tag along on as we went to buy a few crates of beer and some other alcoholic drinks. In the supermarket, and to the surprise of all of us, we were joined by a group of girls who had been invited and were also buying drinks to bring to the party. One of the girls I had not met before, and I would certainly not have interacted with her if she had not come up to me specifically to introduce herself.
She was quite an attractive girl with red hair, freckles, and somewhat of a long body even though she was shorter than me, and I am by no means tall. She wore skinny jeans and a t-shirt, with several bands around her wrist that she had received on attending various musical events. She told me her name and even shook my hand, to which I of course reciprocated, before we parted ways to join our respective groups.
Upon arrival at my friend's residence, and the consequent commencement of the party, I put on some music (some variant of rock, most probably) and started drinking rapidly and without pause, as was my custom.
I met the girl again as I was fetching another bottle of beer and she engaged me in conversation. She told me she was enjoying the music, and that the beer we were now both drinking was also to her liking. I must say that at the time I was rather taken that this girl had not only started a conversation with me, but that she had also chosen to continue it even after we were in a room full of people that she and I were both more familiar with.
