You guys wear clothes right, I could do with dressing better, What are some good casual ways to dress, Not smart casual.
>>
>>27960801

wear a casual polo instead of just a t-shirt.

the jeans are a good fit but they are too long, get shorter ones. rolling them up looks silly and tacky.

get new shoes, those look like women's dress shoes. just get nice steel toed boots, you can wear those with anything.

Wear things normal people wear but do it better by getting things that fit you. Don't put so much effort into dressing yourself, you'll look like a tryhard.
>>
actually, i take >>27960846

this back, or most of it.

everything is fine EXCEPT for the shoes - they look hella impractical.

yes i said "hella".

if you want shoes that give you some lift but don't look like old women's shoes just wear the steel toed boots.

steel toed boots outside of a workplace are fucking autism-tier. who are you trying to show off for?

>>27960801
OP, try collared button-up shirts (solid, striped, plaid, doesn't matter), polos, or solid or striped shallow v-neck t-shirts - no graphic tees. you could layer an unbuttoned collared shirt over a good tee. get jeans that fit well, that are just big enough that you fit in them comfortably without being baggy or skin-tight.

get decent shoes for your age. if you're 18-21, you can get away with comfy Vans and Chucks. if you're older, you might try something else like Toms or high-tops/basketball shoes, whichever fits your aesthetic. don't go around wearing boots, you're not a cowboy or in manual labor.

also, girls like nothing better than a guy in a sweater, so don't be afraid to wear a sweater in the winter. they're cuddly and soft and I just want to hug a man in a sweater.

you could try wearing a watch. I think it makes men look classy.

-t. a woman with superior taste in fashion to any of the other NEETs you might talk to about this.

This.

Boots are based (casual ones of course). If you want to wear sneakers, get some leather ones. Unless you're a teenager, sneakers should obviously look casual, yet "smart". Avoid vans and nigger shoes, you're not 12.
>>
>>27961311

top right is the best overall.

most comfort, best casual look, and not overdoing it.

>button ups

just throw it in the garbage.
>>
>>27960801
The first rule is being thin. The second rule is to wear clothes that fit. If you manage to do those things you can look good in a plain t-shirt with jeans and simple sneakers.
>>
>>27961084
>hurrrr things that are on trend are shit taste
listen, I don't make the rules of fashion. I'm just telling OP what is in and looks good on men.
I figured he didn't want to wear a button-down, tie, and dress shoes everywhere. the rest are options for comfortable everyday shoes.

you look like a fool walking around everywhere in steel-toed boots. the only place and time for them is if you work in construction. fucking wannabe-masculine retard. this is why men with girlfriends get more attention than single men - because their girlfriends fucking dress them.

There's nothing wrong with Timberland steel-toed boots, especially if you wear your pants over the top portion of it so only the bottom part of the boots are visible.

vans/chucks - are you serious? sk8er b0i came out 10 years ago.

Also I kinda feel like leather sneakers are a street style thing like something black guys and jocks wear.
>>
Solid color crews and v-necks and Jeans that aren't acid washed faggotry and fit you.
Boxer briefs brands like Jockey,Polo, Calvin Klein
nice sneakers for casual wear like Adidas samoas or stan smiths, wing tips for special occasions and get a nice decent watch, affordable like a higher end Bulova.
Have at least one fitted suit and nice white undershirts for button down shirts, buy at least 4 nice belts and a nice wallet.
>>
>>27961377
>fucking wanabe-masculine retard
I'm sensing a lot of hostility, did a man in steel-toed boots reject you once?
>>
>>27961422
that's why I said if he was 18-21 he can still get away with them.

there's everything wrong with wearing steel-toed boots outside of a workplace. it just makes you look like a tryhard faggot with a tiny dick insecurity. just wear fucking normal shoes, jesus christ.
>>
>>27961422

polos have preppy/frat bro connotations and can look super childish on a scrawny frame

with the jeans, "rolling them up" is called cuffing and it's the style right now
also jeans that are long enough to bunch up along the leg (stacking) can make you appear taller... but the jeans need to be well-fitted/tapered for that to work right, which it does in OP's pic

I don't have any opinion on the boots, those straps are just meant to be a small accent, I think they're fine

a polo and steel-toed boots would probably look stupid as hell

>still doesn't offer helpful suggestions

I'm so done with you that you're a just taking up a very small portion of my intellect.

>I'm super wacky and fun in my graphic shirts guys

Wow, the autism is severe.

>The only difference is the person inside the shirt

>I don't understand about how clothes can fit differently.

What a surprise you think wacky tshirts are cool

What makes you think you're owed suggestions, autist? I'm not responding because I want to school you, I'm responding because you're a hilarious idiot who think r9k is a hive mind who like the OP boots and think wearing wigger boots is acceptable and justifies it by claiming it stops his ankle from shattering under his obesity.

>"y-you're obese !"
>"you're not entitled to helpful advice !"

Then why are you even here, if it's not to contribute quality and helpful suggestions to the thread?

Thanks so much anon. I didn't really know where to buy stuff so I've just been going to Target for the past while. I'll go to my mall and look around. Thanks again.

Sure! You're the only real person I've talked to in this whole thread.

What ever you need to get your delicate self through the day, anon.

My thanks for your concern, anonymous.

Like all your quality and helpful suggestions, fat boy?

Yeah, you're the only person in the thread that's not arguing about something and actually trying to give advice. I've kind of been trying to fix up my wardrobe for the past few weeks so your help was fantastic. Are you a fan of Henley's? I find that for people who are skinny it can look quite good. I've been trying to stay away from T-shirts, even plain ones, because I find if you're either over weight or skinny it tends to accentuate that.

There are some brands of t shirts that don't do that because they're made of slightly thicker material and have better seams and all. I'd avoid plain white though, unless you're planning to get ripped. Go with moderate darker colors, like dark blue

Don't fall for the polo meme

They look stupid
>>

Sounds good anon. I think the trick is to find something that's plain looking or more minimalist but well-fitting and high-quality. I think my problem is I've been ignoring the latter.
