There are at least three girls on campus whose numbers I've gotten and never texted or invited anywhere (even though I said I would) who I will occasionally see (and ignore / look away as if I don't know who they are). One even lives on the same floor as me.
It's not even that I'm being a douche. I'm just socially awkward. I don't know how to text or ask girls out. So I get these numbers and don't know what to do with them. I don't even know if they were really into me or just being nice (girls give their phone numbers to anyone nowadays because it's awkward to reject someone like that). So I don't text (except may after the initial "hey this is me so you have my number" text), then weeks pass and it's like any attraction they may have had to me has surely way expired and it would just be awkward as shit to try and imitate anything now.
