Do any of you robots keep a journal?
If so, what do you write, how would you react if someone found and read it? Does it help you?
Nope. I don't have some journal I'll leave behind when I die. Just my insane ramblings on the Internet, scattered throughout.
I do. I have a diary about basically anything I feel like talking to myself about. Sometimes I write about my dreams, my past, how I'm feeling. I write about the most minuscule things, like a certain smell I like. I've made a point to write as much as I can, I think it relieves stress for me. I write about some very personal things, I wouldn't want anybody to read it, but if they did they wouldn't really like me anymore.

This is what I want to do with my journal, a record of my immediate thoughts and feelings but whenever I pick up the pen my mind goes blank.
I might keep a journal but not the girly self-absorbed kind.
I live alone and don't have any friends. If something were to happen to me, and I would not be in a position to seek help, say I got lost or seriously ill, I would want a diary by my side to explain my most recent symptoms or plans or whereabouts.
That way, the police or doctors can find me or treat me better. It is already easy for anyone to give up on a gross guy in trouble. I need to make it easy to receive help if I need it because no first responser is going to go the extra mile to find me/run expensive tests on me.

Kept a journal for about a month. Wrote a little console application that would append each line written to a file and would insert a timestamp each time the program is ran. After a month I opened the file and read it.
I decided it's a waste of time.

It helps me a bit, because any time I write in it I pour negative thoughts, which gives me relief. On the other hand I'm aware, that there's only depressive bullshit inside, which falsely appears that my life is constant sadness and anger.
All in all it helps, but doesn't work the way it was intended.

I kept one for like a couple of months, it was really boring. For example alot of days it was literally just "got up played video games/ read a book all day went to bed. I fucking hate my life
I write down things as I perceived them and some of my theories as to why. A lot of it is interactions with others, and why I think they acted a certain way toward me along with facts and whether I think they are really facts or something they are trying to get credibility for. I try to write down times and places, I suppose in the future I would write down a note of time centering about when I started work very specific. Base things around clocking in and out. What I did in between as more of a bullet point, minutiae between then. Getting paid doesn't matter as much as the rest of the shit unless the other shit interferes with getting paid.
