Can't speak for all girls but yes, it does in my experience. I'm really into lolita I just don't own anything because I'm poor and all the clothing is expensive. My best friend is also into lolita, and same problem. I'm a basket case though and she's better than I am mentally but she still has her issues. For me I guess it has to do with innocence and purity, which I'm not since I was raped as a child and consider myself to be meat. I'm sure there are many normal girls into it though.

All of them wore the clothes, but didn't do little girl crap though. The goth-lolita talked like she was in an Edgar Allan Poe story sometimes, but only for fun (like ordering pizza, lol).

The only thing was that they all seemed to get a lot of crap from other girls about it. Really vicious shit, too.

I really like Osaka, though. I spent like a week there, an old friend's family owns an okonomiyaki restaurant in Umeda, so I hung at his place for a while. Osaka reminds me a lot of LA, a bit less hectic than Tokyo. The food there is amazing too, and they have a pretty cool little otaku scene.
