Protestantism is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more forgiving. Essentially, Jesus died for your sins, as long as you believe in him, you're going to Heaven.
If every Catholic was told today how infinitesimal their chances were of getting into Catholic Heaven, the Church would be memberless within a week.
