so while i was showering i was thinking about making my own religion or cult.. i have a shitload of ideas of what members could / couldn't do but i have no idea where to start
I've had similar aspirations.
People generally don't readily take interest in new things. Leading a cult is much less about the subject of focus, and much more about the cult leaders' ability to coerce interest and motivation from the followers.

I have though about this extensively...
I dont think I would necessarily do a "cult" but more like a sleeper cell nation.
I think the biggest issue would be getting people to join, money, and security.
