I was diagnosed with depression fairly recently and I think I may also have some forms of paranoia and anxiety, and potentially autism too as I was tested as a child and it was pretty much borderline whether I had it or not.

That's my main worry, especially if I was to build one. That or electrocution. But house fires caused by kotatsu are pretty uncommon, so I suppose the main thing would be to just not leave it on when you're not using it.
