I have really shitty allergy genes from my mum's side of the family, we develop certain allergies as we age. so yeah, there was one point at which I could eat tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, etc, and I do often miss them

yeah, pretty much. I like to use lots of garlic, ginger, black pepper, etc as a substitute, but it's never quite the same. potatoes are the one that pisses me off the most though, I used to love fries/chips/etc, and I have to make them every day (which really fucks with my skin and sometimes even makes my throat tight)
