The 2000s had "scene", the late 90s and early 2000s had my aforementioned nu-metal thing as well as pop-punk, early 90s had alt rock and grunge as well as gangster rap, 80s had metal, etc.

1. No. I took a few years off between high school and college so I was 21-22 while everyone else was 17-18, and there was a whole bunch of them that sat on the floor and underneath stairs as their usually hangout spots.

The funny thing about the internet is that it can open you up to many diverse people from all kinds of backgrounds, all with different opinions and ways of thinking. But it can also let people go into their little safe space hugboxes. Interact with nothing but people that think just like them and shut off everyone else. My first crush was a qt scene girl back in 08
