Well after playing Fallout 4 for a few hours as well as Jedi knight 2 and a few other games, I finally confirmed that vidya brings me no pleasure at all anymore.
In fact I can't stand them at all. They leave me a weird uncomfortable impression, kind of like being drunk. It's awful.
I bought Fallout 4 when it first came out and I can't bring myself to finish it kek, can't be fucked keeping track of all these stats and storylines

Fallout 2 is my go-to "I'm fucking tired of vidya" game. I don't even try to beat the game, I roam the wasteland, run with caravans, punch people with sledgehammer etc. Its such a meditative, relaxing experience

The trick was to stop playing to just burn time. I had been playing to keep my mind off other things instead of for actual entertainment. To fill a void.
I stopped for a while, then got Witcher 3. I hadn't played a game like it in a long time and it was very refreshing and extremely entertaining. It showed me how much fun video games can be again. Now I'm on Bloodborne, my first Souls game, and I love it.

Not really, no. I played a lot when I was a kid though.

There's also a matter of a lot of newer games not having the same challenge as older ones. I recently got a PS4 and while I do enjoy playing the games I got, once I beat them I just think "Well that was fun. Time to do something else". Because I don't really have to put any effort into them. On the other hand, I also have an NES and whenever I beat a game for it for the first time, I feel elated that I was able to, to the point where it can last for an entire day.

I'm 25 and still enjoy games. True, I may play them less now when I have less free time, but I still find time for them on weekends or evenings when I'm not otherwise busy.
It's all subjective, if you personally lost interest that means your personality has changed not to enjoy that anymore. Maybe you were ruined for it by playing too much or playing bad games, or maybe your psyche just thought you had aged past it. Whatever you tell yourself, don't assume what occurred to you is inevitable to all other humans. I'd be pretty bummed if I suddenly lost interest in it.
It's a legitimate form of entertainment. It's the same thing as people who like movies, or going to art museums. It's just a distraction from daily life and it doesn't have to be destructive or embarrassing for you to talk about after a certain age. Only if you can't handle it responsibly, which honestly sounds more to be the case. If you can hold a job and live a fairly productive life otherwise, I don't see any problem with enjoying video games well into your later years.
