Goddamn, this is so beautiful. I wish I lived somewhere like this. It's too bland and boring and ugly where I live.

>>27878887
7/10 cause nature is easy but I like how it looks like smoke coming out of the foreground mountains. nice composition with the kinda 3 layers of value in the bottom/middle/top
>>27879186
this shits taking way too long to load on my throttled phone internet
>>27879254
subject is totally centered, that wood had some awful tension in the bottom left that doesn't seem very intentional but I love the colors in the mountains with the snow and the sign pointed at the blue person.
5/10
>>27879316
centered subject but hilarious
bad lighting
3/10 for photo quality 6 for funny
>>27879335
looks more like a movie still than a photo
not a great compositionbut the colors and values are really good
6/10
>>27879336
pretty colors, nice movement from the grass hills, trees and that fence. bad value though, could have more details in the mids.
5/10
>>27879803
same goes for you. the main part seems to be those trees but they're too dark.
5/10 nice windy streets, especially since they're looking vertical.
>>27879928
cool being upside down. the distortion is accidental I'm sure but would look nice if it worked all the way through the photo. hour horizon line is in the center of the picture though and that's pretty boring. red shed is beautiful. car window takes away from it
3/10
>>27879186
ok it loaded.
really nice detail but I blame the camera for that. I love how bright the light is, you can't really see what's inside at all. and the light above it from the tree is great, the texture and how it sits next to the smooth texture of the poles. good composition how it moves from the vending machine outwards in a line, but the glint on that metal garage looking door to the left seems too bright to me, it pulls away from the more interesting parts of the photo
8/10 tho
kinda old but i think it's a very comfy picture
>>27878887
This is what I do as a robot:
wandering alone in nature and browising 4chan
sometimes both simultaneously
Sure, I'll post a couple. I'm not really a nature/landscape guy (used to be a pro, but shooting boring routine product and ad stuff) but I do it once in a while.
>>27881004
Noticed that other people were posting more urban stuff, so here's another, from Kyoto a few years back.
>>27881009
And another from the same day as >>27881004.
Both were shot on a Fuji X100, if anybody's interested, and processed with Lightroom + the Google Nik Suite. (Which I highly recommend, especially since it's now free!)
/trv/ler here. Got plenty. Having trouble finding pics that aren't too large to upload though.

Hiking is a pretty robot activity because it's something you can do alone and still get enjoyment. I've always liked this picture because of the strange shape and positioning of the stones and how it presents two paths.

Where are you? What are those blocks doing there?
I swam but not for very long. The waves generated by the waterfall made it exhausting to stay afloat and the water was so cold that I was going numb. I don't regret it though, going in the water makes you feel like you've crossed the barrier between an observer and a participator.
Dunes
>>27882240
That picture and this one >>27882268 were taken in the same general location at Linville Gorge. I'm not sure the meaning behind the strange shape and positioning of the rocks, or if they were formed naturally or by man.
>>27882308
They look manmade although there are no rocks where i live
>>27882268
aren't you afraid of parasites and such?
>>27882345
I'm not sure, I can't imagine why someone would go to the effort of making them that shape in such a difficult location. The crystalline structure of the rock can cause them to break at right angles but I've never seen any so perfectly shaped by nature. I really don't know, and they've been weathered too much to show any signs of tooling.
>>27882412
Not really, I'm not drinking it. Leeches are gross and creepy but mostly harmless, and I didn't get any leeches on me there anyways.
I sometimes use my shitty phone camera to take photos when I hike.

careful anon. i wouldnt walk around underneath that for too long. a branch could fall off and kill you.
Not sure if nature but the colors are nice.
This is a building I had previously seen on the Internet before I took the picture but never knew where it was located. I had a picture saved on my phone because I liked it. I had imagined it was buried in some jungle somewhere. It turns out it's an abandoned mill pretty much right in the middle of a city in Italy. There's a railing, and a deep pit in the ground, where this overgrown mill is. I immediately recognized the structure and took a picture to mimic the one I had saved on my phone.
>>27884259
Nothing but a DD travel hammock. Absolutely love it. Have also used it as a bivy since it's waterproof and the bug net works so nicely.
The only thing you'd ever need besides the hammock is a 10$ tarp if it's rainy/might rain, and I've yet to try that out for the uber-maximum comfiness.

Run it through a resizer you pleb
If you're on an iPhone you can email it to yourself and select a smaller filesize when the prompt asks you
>>27886730
Didn't know those existed, thanks anon. Nonsuch resize option for Android?
>>27886759
I use an app called PhotoGrid. Takes about 10 seconds to resize a picture, just select it for editing, and save it. On the save screen you select the quality, default set to 720 which is enough and passes filesize.
I have a few from the woods right by my house. It's surprising because I live in a (formerly) industrial town filled with abandoned mills.
>>27886804
Cool thanks. I like the details, so if I set it to higher than 720 will it get too big? I only take pictures when I feel like it, I have no knowledge of the matter
A picture I took while flying over Alaska.
In a forst nearby, earlier this year.
>>27886856
Tried the thing out, here's a picture of me innawoods, I found this here. Any way to get the app to show you the filesize and to remove the white border?

You're right enough, I guess.
I'm from Nevada, North of Tahoe.

Jpg for filesize and very complex images (anything nature and 90% of pictures of real stuff), png for color accuracy, line detailing, and transparency.
Tldr: use jpg always unless you're a designer or artist.
>>27888113
It's actually not a hole, but water. My guess it that it's a decayed, hollowed out tree stump that now holds water and allows moss to grow well, and the three trunks are offshoots of the original tree.
