The strange thing is that my dad just mildly started losing hair in his late 40s/early 50s. And both grandfathers had a completely full head of hair into their 70s and 80s. All uncles also have hair. I've been growing my hair out for about 4 years now, but of course I'm balding as well.
I noticed that occasionallt the wheels on my chair in my room would just pop off and then now roll as well. So I flipped my chair over and had a look. Turns out all of my long hair that was falling out would get stuck in the gears and clog them up until finally the wheels popped off.
