Who /loverain/ here?
>tfw you hear the sound of rain hitting your window before you wake up
It's my favorite type of day.
When I was in college, I worked for a construction company. Every time it would rain we would either be sent home or wouldn't have to come into work at all.
So many of my best college days were spent relaxing on a rainy day playing vidya listening to the rain fall outside.
I absolutely love it. So many times I've got to go home from crappy places, all because of rain.
>Late at night
>Laying under the doona cover
>Watching simpsons on the television
>Heavy rain outside
I fucking love it.
>>27859772
>before you wake up
wait... what?
>>27859772
>tv announced heavy rains starting on monday
>thursday
>not a single bit of water from the sky
im angry
Every single normie shits on rainy days here at home, and I fuckng love them. I live in southern Europe so they're that rare aswell. Absolutely nothing beats the sound of rain hitting the roof. The earthy smell of rain, the natural cleansing happening on the streets. It's the best.
>that gentle light
>the enveloping canopy of blueish grey
>the slow pace of the day
>that cool, moist air
>the deep greens and Browns of the trees and earth
Truly, overcast and rain is the weather of the robot.
Dump comf
>tfw the guy who made OP's comic started working for Buzzfeed and now he makes comics like this
I'm a normie and fuck rain, I understand briefly its appeal behind a window with nothing to do but that gets old very fucking quickly.
That shit gets depressing after more than a few hours:
>grey ominous shroud covering everything like it's the end days of 1970s eastern Germany
>depriving you of sweet sweet sunlight and warmth
>can't go for drinks outside
>can't go hiking/biking/for a nice stroll
>ruins clothes/stuff
>cold, shitty, unsolicited version of a shower
>forces you to carry an umbrella around all day
I do realize a lot of this contributes to rain not being much of a bother to robots given your perpetual basement-dwelling station but I don't get how you don't get yet more depressed while it makes everything look so fucking gloomy.
Gimme scorching heat, margaritas and sunglasses over this impending doom shit any day.
Got an app on my phone with a few rain sounds, heavy rain, dripping water, rain gutter etc.
Use it every night. Only way I can get a decent nights sleep

You probably grew up in a dark wet area. I grew up in a subtropical hell of 80% humidity and a UV index that causes public health alerts. I'd be very happy to never see a day of full sun ever again.
>>27860144
Well buzzfeed is the only company that will pay for tumblr tier images like that
What he was really getting at is that women are shallow and moronic and don't want to actually debate political and social issues, they'll fall sleep if their brain is overworked.
>>27861039
Yeah that sounds like that would suck, it's an extreme counter-example though.
Grew up in the northern half of France so yeah we get a fair amount of rain every year.
Still better than the brits though, those poor fuckers.
>relaxing while the rain is hitting the window
>hear the rumbling of thunder in the distance
This is the comfiest feeling.
What kind of rain do you guys like? The soft shower/drizzle that just humidifies the air and doesn't even require an umbrella?
The constant rain that makes the white noise and makes you stay inside all day because it's too cold and wet?
The summer rain that pops out of nowhere, makes a downpour, and then disappears just as quickly as it came?

You do realize that the stuff the He Man Woman Haters here refer to as "Tumblr shit" is actually what everyone else on the planet refers to as "reality," right? The "Tumble shit" is the real world, where people acknowledge things like facts and reality. The Bizarro-world GG/MRA hatemongering bullshit promulgated be the neckbearded fedoras in here is fringe fanatic stuff so outside the commonly-accepted world view that this place is regarded as a den of psychosis. r9k has become a ridiculous echo chamber for mentally-unwell social rejects with a very specific form of delusion, no different than the chemtrail or Reptilian cults.
>>27861127
The third one.
>Walking home, about a good 10 minutes until I get there
>Overcast weather, might rain soon
>Very, very light rain that I can barely feel, might start raining soon
>Outta nowhere rain just pisses outta the sky and I gotta run home
Listen to Burial if you love the rain

>When its raining outside and your nice and comfy wrapped up in a doona eating or drinking something hot
People who say they love rain say so because they've never had to work outside in the rain.
You only like it because you're a lazy sack of shit
>>27861140
fedora-tier MRA and tumblrshit are the two tiny tips of the bell curve. that huge middle portion of normies doesn't give a shit about either one of them because they're too busy having actual relationships with other normal people and not being undesirable, sexually frustrated losers of both (or all infinite rainbow) genders who spend the majority of their free time on non-facebook Internet sites.
that said
i'm seeing a lot of comics about this whole gender pay gap myth being busted recently, focusing specifically on men talking about the factual statistics behind it and women reaction emotionally, offering no rebuttal or facts of their own, and somehow still being "right"
when in reality if you show the data to any given normie they're gonna be like "yea, that makes sense, there doesn't seem to be an unexplainable sexism-caused gap there".
hell even when the potus gets cucked into regurgitating the misleading "79 cents to the dollar" statistics nobody really takes him seriously.
and fact is most people who argue that there is no significant pay gap are absolutely in favor of making salaries transparent to prove it.

pepsi max super-supreme orinigallio
>Florida rainy season about to start
>have a metal roof
it's the best feeling, hearing the constant pitter patter or whoosh of rain slamming against your roof while you play videogames
>>27861166
I don't think you've ever worked in the rain
I love it because it cools your ass off on an otherwise hot day
>>27860955
>>27861166
Is this the easiest way to spot a normie?
>>27861598
most normies I know love being inside during rain. people who don't like rain are nofun super serious types who got assmolested by adult responsibilities way too early in life.
>>27859772
>bedroom is on top floor
>two skylight windows in the next room
The combined sound of the muffled rain on the windows and on the roof tiles above me is just bliss while lying in bed.
>>27861857
Im here on the west coast and i hear alot of complaining from everyone if it rains, even if they dont have to go out in it.
"its so dark it makes me depressed"
That kinda shit.
People still shit on rain here even though we need it to end the drought, its nuts.
Personally love the rain, i think sunny days are just too damn bright, overcast and rain are way kinder on my eyes.
I'd love to live in a place where it's raining all the time
I could get myself a job doing computer shit and be happy
>>27861401
max cozy
I remeber when I was a neet, I used to love when it rained because then I could go outside without anyone being around.
Or I would use it as an excuse for not going outside.
>>27859986
>not being able to hear the things around you while you sleep
When the mongols come, you're fucked.
Wow, this is a great thread! I feel closer to you guys because of it :)
I hope rain catches on more.
I always had bad memories of rain.
As a kid we'd have to eat lunch in the auditorium, and that's where I'd have no one to sit with and everyone would see.
>>27861401
F-Florida anon? Pls be friend
>>27865724
Not that anon but county?
Rainy days are cathartic. I feel at the most ease when the water is falling.
This
>>27861039
Who /pr/ here?
Fucking normalfag island
>>27859772
Me. My dad and many other people hate it but I like it
>>27861278
>fedora-tier MRA and tumblrshit are the two tiny tips of the bell curve
truth
normalfags give zero shits about politics
>>27860037
This that feel when you have nowhere to go and get to stay dry and warm while its pouring outside. Same when im in a car during a heavy rainstorm. Just being surrounded by water but it unable to make you wet is just so relaxing for me for some reason.
>>27860955
>>can't go for drinks outside
>>can't go hiking/biking/for a nice stroll
what is stopping you from doing all this normie shit? boo-fucking-hoo im gonna get damp?
>>27866298
>biking
That is not a normie thing. I love going on solo bike rides down the coast taking in the breeze and sun. It gives me time to clear my head and think.
>>27860955
Cycling is fantastic in the rain, I can go as fast and as hard as I fucken want and I don't get even the slightest bit overheated.
If you've got the stuff for it, like a facemask and eye protection, it's great. If you don't it's fucking shit and gets in your eyes and is a literal death trap. Otherwise, it's pretty good.
>tfw no bf to cuddle me while scary lightning strikes the earth
Can we talk about how shit the sun is and how sunny weather is the WORST weather?
It's just so fucking insanely HOT and BRIGHT, it's painful, it's uncomfortable, it's straight up oppressive. Like can't you just fuck off and die you obnoxious normalfag sun go suck a dick and explode already I fucking hate you.
>Great weather outside today anon :^)
Yeah maybe if you like sweating and headaches all fucking day.
>>27861127
The second. The first two are hell in south FL, fucking make the humidity shoot through the roof and everything looks disgusting and shitty.
I think my life would have been entirely different if I had moved to a place that rained more. My parents love sunshine and I hate it. I always knew that I hated AZ, but I never really thought that location could make such a big difference. I should have moved a long time ago. I'm 31 and my life has pretty much been wasted. I spent years on anti-depressants when all I needed to do was move. It's hard to believe that so many millions of people are idiots, but I really think they are. People of all different sorts, all living in AZ. Not one person suggested that I move away. Not to mention that there's no culture in AZ. What a bunch of fuckin idiots. My life is ruined now.
>>27866937
Damn, I really killed the thread?
>>27867992
Where are you living now senpai?
>>27859772
It only ever seems to rain on days that I'm working and my office has no windows.
I comfort myself by listening to rain noises in MP3 form.
>>27860955
>cold, shitty, unsolicited version of a shower
>He doesn't shower in cold water
enjoy your shitty skin
>>27866937
Yeah AZ is a shit hole. Never lived there but I've visited a few times. Extremely depressing place. I never understood why anyone would want to live there.
rain sucks in Florida
>lasts for all of 10 minutes
>usually filled with endless thunder
>hails
>probably some tornadic shit going on
>happens every day right around 5 PM
>it's never enjoyable
>>27861127
The second, but I don't stay inside. You just have to have a rain-ready coat if you want to go for a walk.
The best is when you can nightwalk and rainwalk at the same time.
>>27868094
Well, not AZ anymore, but not a place that I expected to like. Just trying one last time to get a shortcut in life. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll retire to the Cascadia region, and live out whatever miserable life I have left. I always wanted to go there. Also, I think New England would be very nice. (You can just consider me as having mental problems.)
>>27859772
>barely rains where i live
>locals currently talk shit about how hot/dry it is here
>but when it's cold or when it rains...they dont do shit about it and stay home
Fuck, 2 weeks ago it was cold and it rained and i went for one of the best jogs ever
Dumb shitz
>>27866937
I live in Tucson so I know this feel. I am dying to move out of this place. At least monsoon season is a few months away...
I hate rain. It makes it cold and I hate being cold.
Running in the rain is pretty great.
Listening to it hit the windows is pretty comfy, too.
Only thing is the kitchen roof tends to leak when we get a hard downpour.
I'm honestly looking forward to summer rains, when it's 25 degrees celsius and the rain hits softly your face feeling like a warm shower just like i used to run through the rain when i was little
