Came home from work and shredded a bit, it's a nice release to just absolve myself from world and play like a madman. I got a couple Dean VMNT's that I plug into a POD HD500X, then a Rocktron Hush Super C, and into my Randall RX120H with RX412 cabinet changed out with Celestion Vintage 30s. I have yet to really crank the V30s to real high volumes to break them in. I would also recommend LiveWire Elite cables as you can get them for like $1.30/foot and sound much clearer, concise, and articulate than Monster Pros while also being viable to use whenever. Monster Pros are like being attached to an oil pipeline.

Learning instruments isn't hard necessarily but it's a long process. Basically if you try for a full year you'll be able to play some nice and enjoyable songs. It's impossible to play for a year and not get good enough to play some songs. It's just all on you toughing it out and learning for a year.
