Rancher here, we dont farm any crops, we raise Herefords.
We own a bunch of land since we live in the middle of nowhere so we let them graze spring through fall. During the winter though we bring them back to the home pen(couple hundred acres) and make sure they have hay.
Pretty lazy job compared to when grandpa did it. Just go around making sure fences are in order and not torn down, along with a headcount once a month. Go out during birthing times to make sure they dont die. Sell them when the price is up and they are fat and buy them when the price is low and they are skinny.

Really the most dangerous thing is the one on one interactions with animals. They're still animals, they can be unpredictable, get scared or stressed, and react. They've had those machines for decades. They still haven't replaced welders who are you know... portable and capable of doing different welds in different places. Those machines are only good on an assembly line. They can't do repairs or prototypes for example. They also can't weld underwater.

I don't understand the point of underwater welding. Why not just use a drydock? It's not like you can't do damage control from within the ship to keep it afloat until you have a spot. And anything else, why not weld it on land and then put it underwater? Like tubes or whatever, if you're putting it somewhere where the pressure would hurt it too much to be modular, can you really get a man down there? It's a cost thing. It's much more efficient to have a skilled welder do it than an expensive machine and it's not too dangerous to where a robot would be absolutely required. This is another reason why automation hasn't been adopted yet overall. It's just not cost effective at this point
