I used to be a filthy piece of shit, not shower for weeks, only do my programming sessions in front of the PC and sleep.
I was fucking depressed and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I had an awful breath because of rotten teeth which I haven't brushed at all, which made me so self-conscious that even talking to a female human being was out of question completely.
Then my father dragged me out to the dentist and I got a 20 minutes tooth drill with no anesthesia. I started washing my teeth after every meal ever since.
Then a friend of mine talked me into trying to shower every 2 days for a week to see if I feel better. I felt better definitely. I'm still depressed but it's nowhere near where I was at the time. I even found a gf (and lost her as soon as she got to know me better).
