I know what a dictatorship of a proletariat is supposed to be, but it was a dictatorship of Stalin. A new political ruling class emerged to control the means of production, the workers hardly controlled anything. You could argue that the dictatorships still had the best interest of ultimately establishing communism, but then there's the issue of every single socialist state eventually becoming capitalist, all of them. A more fair capitalism that treats workers better can exists and it can be long lasting one but not until we fix the problems of corruption and crime. There are many things that could be done to solve these problems but the people in power are the ones who are trying to maintain the status quo as long as possible. It's hard to change the system when all of it has been corrupted.

If you think violence is going to work you're retarded. We live in what are nominally democracies and we also live in what are definitely highly advanced societies with powerful military tools. The state is very good at violence and if it comes down to it the regular military will crush any militia with incredibly more ease than in previous points in history. The kind of weapons you can own privately just don't measure up to what is owned and operated by the state.
What you can do, though, is vote wealth away from the rich. Use the state to do your violence for you, and face them with the choice of either submitting or breaking the law and providing justification for being crushed by the jackboots of the state.
