Makoto Shinkai films are good. They're real slow romance oriented plots, but his earlier works are in science fiction settings. His later ones are better in my opinion. They're also not the extremely generic romances like in a lot of shows. Garden of Words is comfy as fuck and good. It's only 45 minutes long.
