Don't feel bad, I agree people judge others for wearing sweatpants in public but they are super comfy. Probably the best lounge pants I've ever had on, I would wear them out in public but I'm too afraid of being judged. I feel like it's more socially acceptable for girls to wear them to places like class and what not. I'm a college student and see more girls wearing sweatpants and pajama pants then guys, though I see a couple of guys wearing pajama pants.
I use to know a guy that wore pajama pants everyday to class, he was really gross. He had long hair, looked like he never bathed. Also was socially awkward, plus I found out he was a furry and bisexual. I thought he was creepy but he had a lot of friends, mostly friends with the furry crowd at my uni who are all a bunch of autistic weirdo's. I may be a weeaboo but I couldn't connect with people like them, they were far too socially awkward for me to be hanging out with.

Get a properly tailored suit. The reason those fedora flippers look so bad is because they're probably wearing there dad's suit which is 3 sizes too big. Slim clothing is the way forward, even if you're fat don't wear really baggy clothing. Get a nice belt too.
