More deep cuts is the premier robot album, on top of The Antlers, Hospice.
>>
>>27745092
Hospice is an album which requires a full understanding and experience in romance, I don't see how you'd list it as a robot album.
>>
>>27745111
It allows robots who have not experienced "romance" prepare their expectations.
>>
>>27745141
I suppose, but it's a little disheartening since the album is about dealing with death of a loved one.
>>
I want a move away from irony, and a move away from conceptual art.
I'm pretty left-leaning on hot-button issues, have some other opinions that aren't really a part of politics today but would not likely be left.
Science should be man's no. 1 priority.
Religion isn't ideal, mostly because it can interfere with ethical philosophy, instead of helping assign value.
Ethics...eh...jury's out on what I favor.
Philosophy should be more respected, a good mind for it is a boon in every area of study.
Economics...pretty much a socialist.

Studying physical chemistry.

National Socialists aren't really leftists.
It's possible Christianity is correct, but Jesus seems pretty Marxist to me, man.
>>
>>27745358
Christiany has a lot of social principles. Also true Christians wouldn't purge, because that would be a sin, and you'd go to hell. Pretty backwards logic.

What would you consider a superior method of assigning value?

Yes they are

Telling people to obey established authorities and that voluntary charity is righteous isn't marxist.
>>27745445
Charlemagne certainly purged
And he did nothing wrong in doing so
Removing cancerous elements to society (any non-Christians) isn't wrong
>>
>>27745442
Marxism wouldn't exist without Chrisianity. Christianity is problematic precisely because it is so universal.
>>
>>27745452
No fucking clue, to be honest. But I'm not really comfortable with "because someone said so" without that someone agreeing that it's pretty much arbitrary, or having a good argument. Religiously based ethical frameworks just seem lazy. They're also not universally applicably since they require belief, which is much harder to convince someone of than a logical argument. If everyone in the world could instantly be made genuinely religious, that'd be one thing, but that's not the case and it's trending in the opposite direction.
>>
>>27745493
Religious frameworks steeped in true tradition are seldom just "because someone said so". If you look at tradition, including religion, from the perspective of learned lessons over thousands of years, then attributed to divinity in order to preserve, it makes a lot more sense. Then think of God as nature, or all that is, in this sense living in accordance with gods law is living in accordance with natures law. I'm not saying this means your ethics will be fool-proof because we've certainly made advances in philosophy since these times, but not much further than you'd think. People who do adhere to religion as their ethical framework typically do so because it's effective and easy.
>>
>>27745565

>natures law

A philosophy and a fallacy, all rolled into one!
>>
>>27745584
Don't be such a sperg not knowing how to use fallacies when they're do. I just explained natures law and gods law, but you glanced over that because you're too infatuated with the mention of natural law.

Charlemagne's time was different. You can't change a national identity after its been established.

Rhyming poetry is inherently plebeian because it relies on hamfisted connections between verses instead of creating them organically through sheer rhythm, syllable count, and carefully-crafted diction. The majority of published modern rhyming poetry is written by dumbfuck millennials who treat their poems like they're fucking rap songs. It's disgraceful.

Yes, Germany would surely be superior without enough population to support their economy. You realize Germany and most European countries suffer from low native birthrates right?

Your "solution" would turn Germany into Japan, an aging population with massive burden placed on the working and young classes to sustain minimal growth.

I get it, fuck migrants, but non-Catholics need to be purged? Now you're just another /pol/ edgelord

So I wasn't supposed to believe the sorcerers, witches and giants are real? I wonder what Jesus would have said about that

Also if you believe in a literal expunging of your "sins" through blood sacrifice then you're clearly not an intellectual. Obviously the bible has a lot of wisdom in it, that does not mean it's "correct"

The sacrifice is part of the larger myth, which may or may not have happened, but it's historical truth does not matter because the myth reveals a higher truth that's outside of time and space.

How can virgins exist if we were all once inside a vagina?
>>
>>27746167
Actually if you ask Hindus their attitudes towards religion are similar and they typically aren't familiar with opposition to literalist interpretations. If anything this just shows that ancient understandings of religion- Including ancient Greeks and Romans as we have writings to point towards this, the literal meaning didn't matter so much. Science is perfectly compatible with religion but most people who are involved with the sciences treat it as a method for humans to dictate to the universe how it is rather than a tool to help us in a constant endeavor to understand the connections between phenomena.
