My dad has had to sleep with the door barricaded in my brother's room for about a year, this finally happened from her beating on the door. She's bipolar, and had explosive personality disorder. I put a key pad on my door to keep her from taking my stuff, she used to come into my room and wake me up in the middle of the night and yell at me. We're considering having her committed because our lives are on hold and she's testing apart our house. She also is a hoarder. Her bed room has 3 feet of things she's bought. My dad doesn't like the idea of committing her because he promised to take care of her always, and that divorce isn't an option. I tend to agree, but she should live with us anymore. We really don't know what to do to help her. She's a shadow of a person who constantly yells at us about her past, and the people who hurt her feelings. She used to steal money from my dad, forging checks, racking up credit cards. We keep safes to protect our keys and wallets now.
