what the fuck is 'prom', what the fuck is 'college', what the fuck is 'calc 1,2,3',
I only ever see Americans use these terms.
prom is close to high school graduation and is a big dance thing
college is called community college here in canada and it's a school you take for more specific occupations (ie. nurse)
calc stands for calculus and it's a math class, i think

Prom is an orgy that people have at the end of high school.
College is a place that prepares you for a job.
And calc 1,2,3 are the 3 first classes you have to take be a college student.

>college is called community college here in canada
Other way around.
"College" in the States is what we call "university" in Canada.
"Community college" is what we call "college" here in Canada.

in australia college is 11th and 12th grade

Thanks anon. Most people would have called me a retard or something for making a small mistake like that, lol. Have a good day/night! :)

Which country are you residing in OP?
>>27722570
Not OP but it's the New Zealand flag in the OP so I feel in this case 1 and 1 may just equal 2.
>>27722604
Wow you must be really smart. Thank you.
I thought I was the only New Zealand robot.
You from dunedin OP?
Funny, dunedin is probably the easiest place in New Zealand to get laid yet I cant.

Is OP around?

prom = graduation dance
college = post-secondary school, where you specialize in one field
calc 1, 2, 3 are calculus courses, 1 is basic 2 is intermediate 3 is advanced
>>27722017
Prom = senior (year 12) formal (dance where you wear tux/dresses)
College is used everywhere, but here a lot of our universities are only a single college, so people informally call many universities colleges or actually attend a college. You would normally call this like "Oxford's College of Science", which is a part of the broader Oxford university, but we have so many schools, some are not full universities and only offer one discipline group
Calc = calculus
1-> single variable calculus, fundamental theorem of calculus up through derivatives and maybe touching on anti-derivatives
2-> anti-derivatives(integration) through taylor series and approximation techniques
3-> multi variate calculus
Almost everyone here uses the Stewart textbook, which corresponds to
Calc1 ch1-4
Calc2 ch5-8
Calc3 ch9-14

college is called high school in germany.

Why are you calling that shit calculus? Thats just basic high school math, with some very fancy wording all around it.
