Playing in a band was cool unti circa 2010. Nowadays you know more musicians that are in bands than non-musicians that are actually into music. When you talk to girls its super obnoxious, as soon as you mention that you are in a gigging band they think you are a loud bragging cunt, and if you let them figure it out on their own then they think you are a loser because you are wasting all your off days and weekends on shitty roadtrips for "nothing", since you are not getting paid.
Even when I was basically partially living off bar gigs with a cover band I was still getting shit from women.
