You've got it all backwards. The ugly guys who manage this kind of reaction in women still have jerkboy confidence/charisma, which is what women /actually/ care about above all else, and a damn sight more than looks, though the people on this board often fail to understand that.
Obviously having both looks AND jerkboy game are even better, but the point is that the one trait is better to have than the other. It is possible to rank the traits of male sexual attractiveness, and physical attractiveness is not at the top. Even height is significantly more important, if you think about it.
So if a 6'1" ugly guy obviously has social status and teases her or whatever, she'll find herself attracted if the circumstances are right, in spite of knowing damn well that he's physically "like" ugly. Because that's how women work, and they literally can't help it.
Obviously, the reverse is not the case. An ugly girl might be decent company or a good cook, but it'll never fully augment any barrier-level ugliness in her attractiveness to men, in general terms.
